Dylan Thurston is a percussionist, pianist, and composer from Greensboro, North Carolina. He has a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is currently working on his Masters in Scoring for Film and Multimedia in the Steinhardt School at New York University. He loves the scores of Jerry Goldsmith, James Horner, Jóhann Jóhannsson, and Clint Mansell, but his biggest influence is Ennio Morricone. He has played, toured, and recorded with bands and musicians like Daniel Hart, John Davis, Batterie-en-Valise, David Karsten Daniels, and many others. He lives in New York, where he plays drums for some of the projects of composer Michael Hearst and recently finished the score for the upcoming film A Dance in the Dark.
